Considered
as of the wonders of all this area, Zahora can presume
to be one of the best natural beaches of Andalucia.
It won this reputation in 1980, and it continues "marking
the difference" in urbanistic stlye and way of
life.
It´s
beach of almost 90m in width, with fine, golden sand
is spectacular!
Of
course it can also be boistrous in the heat of August
too, then in winter there are more possibilities of
very different entertainment. For example: ride a horse
with total freedom.
The
harmonious gathering of nature and buildings, the presence
of "cattle" in some delimited zones, and
the well-taken care of rustic style of the houses -
and their situation, make sure that Zahora is
a perfect choice for some unforgettable days.
Some
buildings are covered with rooves of "quinche",
which blends well with the natural surroundings.
Natural
materials and traditional craftmanship: wood, canes
and well kept secrets that preserve or better the orignial
products produced. Precious!
In
the road Carril de Mangueta is SABOY,
a bar to eat something, to have drinks and/or enjoy
a good concert. It is open all year and naturally is
very calm and pleasant in the winter. Also they have
lodgings.
There
are many other establishments for lodgings. On the
main road - that links Caños with El
Palmar - there are other choices: , Pura
Vida, Hostal
Mini-Golf Caños de Meca and more
shops: tobacconists, fishmongers and supermarket.
On
the beach you will find Sajorami and the Chiringuito
de Juan. Alternatively and depending on your taste
- is La Casilla, an old house in ruins and engulfed
by an enormous fig tree. It sits on the highest point
of this stretch of coastline.
At
dawn or at dusk before the sunset, Zahora invites you
to walk through it´s "streets", let
yourself discover new corners and to intensively live
the most impressive Peace and harmony. Zahora is Green..Take care of it!
