nudism
beaches, naturism places, nudity in los canos
We
do not educate our children against their own body.
We explain their bodies to them such as they are,
because - in truth the soul cannot "be dressed".
No part of the body is less worthy, than another
one, to be covered.
Naturism
is one of the characteristics of this coastal zone.
The harmony existing in the practice of nudism, in
Trafalgar and the rest of the
area, is truly felt at certain times of the year.
The sensation of freedom, whilst some still wear clothes,
is total; the mutual respect and the tranquillity
that these beaches offer... will reward the trip, extraordinarily.
"Here
there are people of all types, including complete
families. Some have got to know this paradise...
and some have come and practiced it from more
than 30 years, when the "2 piece" was
prohibited in Spain" (Pedro, Naturist and
cañoadict from 1973).
If
we cross the coast, from Roche to Punta
Camarinal,
we must begin by Cala del Aceite. Next to the port
of Conil, in a natural enclave, and surrounded by pine
groves (a camping naturist/mixed exists) this beach
of great beauty is one of those favourite places to
practice naturism.
From
here and right until arriving at Caños de Meca,
the nudism almost completely disappears. In the zone
of Mangueta, Playa
de Zahora, is another twist, but
it is in the Playa del Faro
de Trafalgar where we return
to our "nudist route". In this beautiful
beach, some clothes are worn but naturism predominates.
Included with the passing ot time - and the human action
- has been created small refuges to avoid the
Easterly Levante winds, when sunbathing. These are extraordinarily
aptly made to provide a greater privacy. It is certain
that some people demonstrate little respect and education,
leaving bags and the remainder of food in them; although
always there is somebody - returning to "civilization" -
who gathers them and deposits them in the rubbish bins
at the main road. It is necessary to be careful in the
sea, as there are usually currents in the whole area.
ENJOY THE ANDALUSIAN PARADISE
Also
- depending on the state of the sea grandes olas orilleras
(big waves to avoid), which make it difficult to enter
the sea..
In
Caños de Meca, nudism is not only by the lighthouse.
In the Playa de los Castillejos (with an important
hippie presence) it is totally normal - long established
- to practice naturism. Mainly from the rocks and in
the direction of Barbate. The Ruta de los Chorros -as
it is known - are lots of small inlets and turns where
you can enjoy absolute tranquillity. It is here that
appears - a new gay environment. If we continued walking
- with suitable footwear and at low tide, since the
high water can leave us trapped in the cliffs - we
would arrive at the area Los
Lodos y las Cortinas de Agua, a beautiful natural fresh water spectacle that
falls from tens of metres of height. We recommended
these muds to you, you will find them in small hollows
of some rocks; ideal for the skin.
The
access routes to Castillejos are not easy, therefore
we recommend that if you go down by the steps - that
disappear when arriving at the rocks - you do it at
low tide (the high water floods it), nevertheless if
you arrive at the end of the street (next to the bar
La Pequeña Lulú), there is a small iron
door that gives access to the Parque
Natural la Breña
y Marismas de Barbate (take care with lit cigarettes)
following the footpath... you will arrive at the same
beach..
A WILD BEACH - A VIRGIN BEACH
We
leave Caños de Meca, continue past Barbate and
onto Zahara de los Atunes. Here we find Playa
de Los Alemanes (Atlanterra). It is a beach where the practice
of nudism is centered outside the summer season. It
is certain that at the height of summer it is not uncommon
to see naturists in some points of the beach, but most
people wear clothes. Even so, respect for coexistence
is always shown.
Another
possibility is Arroyo
de Cañuelo, a precious
cove in the Parque
Natural del Estrecho (Natural Park of the Straits) that even in August, remains almost
deserted. The access by foot is somewhat difficult
- also it´s a military zone, but the wire fences
are usually cut, by some ecologists; they say.
